The images below are an example of using the CROME land cover classes to make a land cover persistence map. Trees are shown as shades of green, grasslands as purples, arable as browns and built up areas in grey. They are all modulated by a hill shading of the OS Terrain-50 data set.
The colours in these maps are modulated by the number of years which a given land cover type occurs. The darker the colour then the more frequently it has been classified as that class.
